HARVEY MELLER - B.Sc, LLB, Barrister & Solicitor.

Harvey Meller joined EBL in 2008 after working for Roberts & Stahl from 2005. Mr. Meller's practice focuses on providing general corporate commercial advice with a specialization in entertainment law. Mr. Meller's key areas of specialization include the sale and purchase of businesses, the drafting and review of shareholder agreements and commercial leases, the review and drafting of commercial contracts and the resolution of corporate commercial disputes.

As an entertainment lawyer, Mr. Meller has been involved in film financing, tax credits, the draft of production contracts, union matters, general issues of copyright and intellectual property, and the provision of errors and omissions insurance. Mr. Meller also consults in certain areas of tax law and estate planning.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Meller enjoyed a 15 year career as a well respected Vancouver based modern dance choreographer. Mr. Meller founded two modern dance companies, was the recipient of commissions from numerous established Canadian dance companies and from the National Arts Center and presented and performed his work around the country. In addition to holding a BSC and LLB, Mr. Meller has an extended studies diploma in dance and completed the Canadian Securities Course. Mr. Meller also ran two internet sales companies and has personal experience in issues relating to the hospitality and hotel industry.
